Claudius’ Philosophy:

” As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Life Coaches

Cecil Wong, Family Connections Coach

Life Coach and Family Mentor

Getting clear is so essential, especially for the authentic wellness that empowers us to live with joy and fulfillment. With demanding jobs, busy schedules, children’s education, extracurricular activities, and precious relationships, how are they effectively prioritized? It’s been said that good is the enemy of the best. Good job, good kids, good grades, good life…but what might be the very best and could we be missing out on it as we strive for the bazillions of good things? In other words, “What’s most important?” We need clarity on what matters most. And along the same lines, “What’s most important right now?” What are we doing every day to get us to our desired destination?

Vocationally, Cecil’s journey in getting clear began in 1990 and for nearly two decades as an educator at Cornerstone Academy (San Francisco), he worked closely with many students and families through many diverse challenges. He also served as chaplain and dean of students, giving more time to individual care and counseling to middle and high school students, and their parents. Through passionate attention and compassionate interaction with parents, staff and students, Cecil contributed substantially to grow a culture of genuine spirituality to make the school a safe environment (physically and emotionally) so that greater learning happened. His teaching significantly contributed to the academic success and reputation of the school community where students were safe and learning. He built great relationships with students through countless individual conversations, empathic support, and true friendship. He modeled authentic concern and drive for the holistic wellness of students.

In 2009, Cecil transitioned to Sunset Church (also in San Francisco) as their Christian Education Director. He took over a program that was fragmented and without alignment and direction. After initial struggles, assessments and adjustments, he formed a leadership team that led with vision and grace-filled tenacity to grow a ministry culture that focused on families, supporting and equipping them to experience authentic spirituality and emotional health, especially at home.  As Cecil led the children’s ministry, he lived out his vision of family empowerment by cultivating relationships that encouraged ministry leaders and parents to pursue greater transparency and vulnerability in spite of traditional, cultural resistances. This proved to be the greatest reflection and expression of real faith in God as it focused us on how to love like God.

Since 2011, Cecil has been growing as a life coach. His drive is fueled by the challenge, joy and satisfaction in partnering with people to learn and move forward in the things that mean most to them. He has a growing passion for families to experience authentic, ongoing transformation and gracefilled living especially at home, the place where those lifegiving gifts are often missed. Cecil’s clients have experienced tremendous outcomes personally and professionally. His coaching helped them gain greater clarity about what was most important to them and kept them on track moving forward towards and achieving their desired goals. From great jobs to healthier interpersonal skills and relationships and even deeper faith and spirituality, his services encouraged and equipped clients to experience more of the life they wanted.

Cecil earned his BA in General Biology from SFSU in 1989 and MA in Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007. In 2014, he received the Certificate in Transformational Coaching from Western Seminary.  Most importantly, Cecil has been married to May, the love of his life, since 1991 and has two children, born 1998 and 2000, whom he loves to the moon.  For Cecil’s coaching and mentoring services, please contact him at 415.420.8719 or FamilyConnectionsCoach@gmail.com.
